It is evident that the fitness industry has a distinct lack of personal trainers whom have the knowledge, expertise, understanding, and qualifications to work with disabled clients. I have all of the aforementioned qualities as well as a lifetime of invaluable first-hand disability experience.
I have been fortunate to work with and engage some of the least active and vulnerable members in society as a personal trainer and sports coach since 2015. It has given me the opportunity to help change lives in the process.
Some disabilities that I have experience working with are:
- Amputees
- Arthritis (various kinds)
- Autism
- Cancer Sufferers/Survivors
- Cerebral Palsy
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and other fatigue-related conditions
- Diabetes
- Down Syndrome
- Dystonia
- Endometriosis
- Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Hard of Hearing/Deafness
- Learning Disabilities
- Lipodystrophy
- Mental Health Conditions
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Poliomyelitis
- Spina Bifida
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Stroke Survivors
- Visually Impaired/Blindness
